Terms of Use​

Welcome to PRE-JUNK (“PRE-JUNK,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access and use of the PRE-JUNK website, prejunk.com, and any associated services provided through the platform (collectively, the “Platform”).

​

By creating an account, browsing listings, claiming an item, posting an item for sale, advertising services, or otherwise using the Platform, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree, you must discontinue use immediately.

​

These Terms apply to all users, including buyers, sellers, advertisers and visitors.

​

PRE-JUNK is an independent company based in the State of Florida.

​

1. Eligibility & Account Requirements

To use PRE-JUNK, you must:

​

  • Be at least 18 years old.

  • Reside in the United States.

  • Create an account using accurate, truthful information.

  • Maintain the security of your login credentials.

  • Not have an account previously suspended or terminated by PRE-JUNK.

​

You are responsible for all activity conducted under your account.

​

2. Marketplace Overview

PRE-JUNK is a peer-to-peer marketplace for selling, buying, and rehoming pre-owned, surplus, or junk items.
PRE-JUNK is not a party to any transaction between users.

​

The Platform facilitates:

​

  • Posting items for sale

  • Viewing and claiming items

  • Processing the required platform fee

  • Communication between buyers and sellers

  • Scheduling and confirming item pickup

  • Advertising services such as hauling, moving, recycling, charity pickups, and other service-based listings made available to users

​

All final payments (beyond the 10% non-refundable platform fee) occur directly between buyer and seller.

​

3. Fees, Deposits & Platform Payments

3.1 Platform Fee

When a buyer claims an item, a 10% non-refundable platform fee is collected by PRE-JUNK as part of the claim process.

​

This amount:

  • Is based on the item’s current price at the moment of claim

  • Represents PRE-JUNK’s service fee for facilitating the transaction

  • Is retained by PRE-JUNK

  • Is not applied toward seller payout

​

3.2 Rounding Rule

If the price falls below a minimum threshold, PRE-JUNK may round the platform fee amount to the nearest whole dollar to comply with the minimum processing amount of $1.00.

​

3.3 10-Minute Payment Window

A buyer must complete the platform-fee payment within 10 minutes of making a claim.

If payment is not completed:

​

  • The claim is cancelled

  • The item returns to the marketplace

  • No rights to the item are retained

​

3.4 Seller Cancellation Fee

A $20 cancellation fee will be charged to any seller who chooses to remove or cancel their post before the listing expires or is claimed, unless PRE-JUNK authorizes the cancellation for a valid reason (ex: incorrect listing, item damage).

​

4. Buyer Responsibilities

Buyers agree to the following:

​

• Before Claiming
  • Buyers must read listings carefully and ensure the item type, condition, quantity, and pickup location meet their needs.

  • Buyers must understand that all items are sold as-is with no returns or refunds.

​

• After Claiming
  • Buyers must pay the platform fee within the 10-minute payment window.

  • Buyers must contact the seller promptly during reasonable daytime hours unless otherwise specified in the listing.

  • Buyers must make every reasonable effort to arrive at the agreed pickup time.

  • If delayed, buyers must notify the seller immediately.

  • Buyers must bring the accepted payment method as stated in the listing.

• At Pickup
  • Buyers must inspect the item upon pickup to confirm it matches the listing description and photos.

  • Buyers must remove all items if the listing is marked “take all.”

  • Buyers assume full responsibility for loading and transporting the item.

​

• Failure to Pickup

If a buyer does not arrive within the agreed timeframe:

  • The seller is not required to complete the sale.

  • The seller may dispose of, re-list, or resell the item at their discretion.

  • The platform fee remains non-refundable.

​

• Conduct
  • Buyers must behave respectfully and safely at all times.

  • Repeated cancellations, no-shows, or disputes may result in account restrictions or termination.

​

5. Seller Responsibilities

Sellers agree to the following:

​

• Before Listing
  • Sellers must accurately describe items with honest photos and details.

  • Sellers must have full rights and ownership of the items being listed.

  • Sellers must list the correct pickup location where the item(s) physically exist.

​

• After a Claim
  • Sellers must initiate communication if needed.

  • Sellers must confirm pickup details promptly and coordinate a reasonable pickup window.

  • Sellers must keep the item available until the buyer arrives.

​

• Pickup Requirements
  • Sellers must allow reasonable inspection by the buyer.

  • Sellers must ensure the pickup location is safe, lawful, and appropriate, unless otherwise agreed.

  • Sellers must accept only the payment methods listed in their posting.

  • Sellers must confirm final payment before releasing the item.

​

• If Buyer Fails to Pickup

Sellers may, at their sole discretion:

  • Dispose of the item

  • Re-list it

  • Sell it to another buyer

Sellers may re-list an item only after the pickup window has expired, and they must have made at least one reasonable attempt to contact the buyer.

​

• Conduct
  • Sellers must act professionally and respectfully.

  • Unsafe, discriminatory, or fraudulent behavior may lead to account restrictions or termination.

​

6. Service Provider & Advertiser Rules

(for haulers, movers, charities, metal recyclers & all service businesses listing on PRE-JUNK)

Service providers and advertisers (“Providers”) who list their services on PRE-JUNK agree to the following rules and standards.

​

• Accuracy & Honesty
  • Providers must advertise services accurately, including pricing, service areas, availability, and capabilities.

  • Providers must not use misleading, deceptive, or bait-and-switch practices.

  • Providers must represent their qualifications truthfully (e.g., licensing status, insurance, certifications).

​

• Licensing, Insurance & Legal Compliance
  • Providers are responsible for maintaining all licenses, permits, and insurance required to operate legally in the United States.

  • PRE-JUNK does not verify licensing or insurance and does not guarantee compliance.

  • Providers must comply with all local, state, and federal laws relating to the services they advertise.

​

• Service Delivery & Customer Interaction
  • Providers must deliver services as described or agreed upon with the customer.

  • Providers must communicate clearly and professionally with PRE-JUNK users.

  • Providers must respect customer property, privacy, and scheduling agreements.

  • Providers must notify customers immediately of delays, rescheduling needs, or cancellations.

• Pricing & Payments
  • Providers must clearly state pricing structures or estimates when communicating with users.

  • Any additional fees must be disclosed before the service begins.

  • PRE-JUNK is not involved in payments, disputes, or refunds between users and providers.

​

• Cancellations & No-Shows
  • Providers must avoid last-minute cancellations or no-shows.

  • Excessive cancellations, complaints, or repeated no-shows may result in account removal.

​

• User Safety & Professional Conduct
  • Providers must conduct themselves professionally, respectfully, and safely at all times.

  • Providers may not harass, intimidate, or pressure users into unnecessary services.

  • Providers may not engage in illegal dumping, theft, unsafe driving, or property damage.

​

• Content & Advertising Rules

Listings must NOT include:

  • false claims

  • copyrighted images without permission

  • misleading before/after photos

  • competitor disparagement

  • profanity or inappropriate content

PRE-JUNK may remove or edit advertising that violates these rules.

​

• Disputes & Liability
  • Any disputes between users and Providers must be resolved directly between those parties.

  • PRE-JUNK is not responsible for:

    • damages caused by a Provider

    • incomplete work

    • payment issues

    • scheduling problems

    • lost or stolen property

    • personal injury or service outcomes

  • PRE-JUNK does not guarantee the quality, reliability, or safety of any Provider.

• Account Suspension & Removal
​

PRE-JUNK may suspend or permanently remove any Provider who:

  • receives multiple complaints

  • advertises misleading services

  • violates user trust or safety

  • fails to comply with PRE-JUNK standards

  • violates any local, state or federal law

  • uses the platform for unlawful purposes

​

PRE-JUNK makes removal decisions at its sole discretion.

​

7. Dispute Resolution Between Users

PRE-JUNK encourages all users to resolve scheduling issues, communication delays, and condition concerns directly.


PRE-JUNK may intervene only at our discretion and only regarding:

  • Platform fee issues

  • Repeated user violations

  • Fraud investigations

​

PRE-JUNK does not mediate final payments or condition disagreements at pickup.

​

8. Platform Limitations

PRE-JUNK is not responsible for:

  • Item condition before or after pickup

  • Lost, damaged, or stolen items

  • Transaction disputes between users

  • Injuries or damages during loading, transport, or pickup

  • Missed pickups or scheduling conflicts

  • Items unavailable before pickup due to buyer or seller actions

PRE-JUNK does not guarantee:

  • Item quality

  • Seller honesty

  • Buyer reliability

  • Availability of any listing before or after the pickup window

​

9. Prohibited Conduct

Users may not:

  • Post misleading, fraudulent, or stolen items

  • Misrepresent item condition or location

  • Fail to complete payment or pickup repeatedly

  • Harass or threaten other users

  • Use PRE-JUNK for illegal activity

  • Circumvent platform rules or fees

  • Create multiple accounts to avoid enforcement

  • Abuse the claim system to block other users

Violation may result in suspension or permanent account removal.

​

10. Intellectual Property

All content on the Platform, including branding, logos, text, and design, is property of PRE-JUNK and may not be copied, modified, or used without permission.

​

Users retain rights to the content they upload (photos, descriptions) but grant PRE-JUNK a license to display it on the Platform.

​

11. Liability Limitation

To the fullest extent permitted by Florida law:

  • PRE-JUNK is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.

  • PRE-JUNK does not provide warranties of any kind.

  • Use of the Platform is at your own risk.

​

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PRE-JUNK and its affiliates from any claims, losses, liabilities, or expenses arising from:

  • Your use of the Platform

  • Your violation of these Terms

  • Any transaction between you and another user

​

13. Termination

PRE-JUNK may suspend, restrict, or terminate any account that violates these Terms or harms the community.
Users may close their account at any time.

​

14. Updates to These Terms

We may modify these Terms periodically.
Changes take effect when posted.
Continued use of PRE-JUNK constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
